Ice Cave Hike at Shawangunk

What an interesting hike! I have heard Ben bragging about this hike for two years now and I finally had the time to do it. Unfortunately, it was a very hot and humid day.

The scenary was interesting. The park is close to Minnewaska and its scenary resembles that of Minnewaska as well. There were plennty of caves and gorges. As we walked by cracks of rocks, we could feel cool air sneaking through them.

At the firs site of cool air, 阿Ben哥說"come feel the breeze!"

There were many more like these and they made the whole trip much more tolerable.

There were several small gorge/canyon. They were lined with large rocks and frequently all four limbs were required to traverse them. Also the air were cooler and more moist in them.

Thanks to Alex, Ben, and Mr. Ng, who set up the rope for us, we were all able to get across some difficult terrain safely.

The scenary and afternoon lighting also afforded many interesting opportunities for photography.

What I don't like about this hike is that there is too much shrubs and overgrowth along the trail. The trails are unmarked and not the easiest to follow.

All in all, it was still a good day! Beats any day spent at work!
